Now that we are back playing golf, the time has come to get the Mt Derrimut Premier League going as well!
Just to refresh your memories, below is all the relevant information that you need to be part of this event.
For those who haven’t been part of the competition previously (this is our 6th Season), all the information can be found in this link which is also displayed on the notice board in the Members Lounge.
WHAT’S THE “PREMIER LEAGUE”?
⛳ This is a team’s event with 6 players per team competing, however only 3 of those 6 scores will count on the day of competition
⛳ All competition days are on a Saturday (but not every Saturday). You must enter the competition of the day to have your score counted towards your team
⛳ Firm dates will not be released until the week prior to the First Round
⛳ First Round will commence on Saturday 27th March 2021.
⛳ The competition consists of Preliminary Rounds and a Finals Series.
⛳ There is a Gala night at the end of the season where a Brownlow Medal style count is conducted, and a player will be anointed as the Bob Heard Medalist. There is also the announcement of the Mt Derrimut Team of the Year at this function. This night is FREE to all players.
⛳ All players will be granted access to the Golf Premier League Website where scores will be uploaded on the Saturday evening of the Competition.
⛳ You do not have to play with your team, you just have to play in the Saturday competition with any other Member.
⛳ You do not have to play every round, remember only 3 of the 6 scores will count.
For any New Members or Members who do not have a team to go into, or would find it difficult putting a team together and want to be part of this competition, a list on the notice board in the Members Lounge can be found where you can put your name and we will endeavour to put you in a team before the first round commences. Alternatively, you can also organise a team on our Facebook Members Only Group
Any Members that registered a team in the ill-fated 2020 Premier League season, would be aware that Vegemite agreed to sponsor the event prior to it being cancelled due to COVID-19, however Vegemite generously informed us that they did not require a refund, rather, they were happy for us to use the sponsorship money within the Club. It has been decided that in recognition of Vegemite’s generosity, they would be our Major sponsor of the 2021 Mt Derrimut Golf Premier League. However, there is always room for more sponsors, so if you know of someone who might be interested, below is the relevant information.
✅ Your branding will be highly visible, with your logo and/or links to your company in a prime position in each key communication:
✅ Club Competition page, Team page and Personal Stats pages on Golf Premier League website.
✅ Matchday printout that goes to Mt Derrimut coordinator each week to be placed up on the notice board in the Members Lounge.
✅ Round email that goes to every player every week (around 72 players).
✅ Highly engaging Best and Fairest presentation featuring a ‘Live Leaderboard’ at the end of season function.
✅ Acknowledgement on all Mt Derrimut Premier League newsletters that get sent to all participants as well as being displayed on the Members Lounge Notice Board after each Round

COST OF ENTRY
➡️ CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES: Saturday 20 March 2021 or when maximum 12 teams have entered.
➡️ COST: $300 per team ($50 per player). Team payment must be paid in full and in CASH to Graham Whittaker before entry will be accepted.
➡️ REGISTRATION FORM: Teams must complete the Registration Form in full and hand to Graham Whittaker with full payment by Saturday 11 July 2020. All areas of the Registration Form must be completed as this information is required to be provided to the organisers.
