2020 Club Championships

2020 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

COVID-19 might have affected our lives over the past few months but nothing is going to stop our club championships going ahead, albeit in a reduced format.

With the club championships about to start this weekend, the Match Committee would like to provide the below information to all Members who are competing, or to any Member who is just looking to play over the next two weekends.

Entries for the club championships close today. No late entries will be accepted after this date. Only completed entry forms with payment via proshop will be accepted.

Timesheet
✔️ The timesheet for the two weeks of the club championships (i.e. Saturday 29 November and Saturday 5 December) is now open for any members who aren’t competing in the championships. Please visit mtderrimut.com.au, login and view any available tee times.
✔️ Only Members who have completed a club championship entry form will be eligible to win a Club Championship event (i.e A, B, C, Veterans, Juniors, Ladies Open (Gross and Nett) events)
✔️ Members not entered in championship will be eligible to win the daily competition event during these two weeks upon the payment of the appropriate competition entry fee.
✔️ All play during these two saturdays will be from the 1st tee commencing at 6.35am.
✔️ Members who have completed an entry form prior to the timesheet opening up to all Members have been allocated a tee time as close to their preference as possible.  All Members should check the timesheet for their allocated time.
✔️ The timesheet will close again (to view only) at 6.00pm on Friday 27 November to enable the proshop to “tidy up” any areas where there are 1 or 2 players in a group.
✔️ The timesheet for Round 2 (5th December) will also close to view only at 6.00pm on Friday 4 December to enable “tidy up” work to be completed by proshop staff prior to Round 2.

Local Rules

All temporary local rules can be found via this link which also include temporary local rules pertaining to COVID-19 restrictions. All Players are encouraged to read the temporary local rules before Round 1 to ensure they do not breach any rules, in particular rules relating to COVIC 19-restrictions.

Some other important information for players playing in the championships are:
✔️ Check in at the proshop at least 15 minutes prior to your tee off time and be at the tee at least 5 minutes prior to your tee off time.
✔️ Please ensure that both the player and marker have signed the card before submitting.
Failure to do so will result in automatic disqualification from the competition.
✔️ Please be aware of your group’s speed of play.  If you can’t see the group in front, you are going too slow and must make an effort to catch up.

Best of Luck,
Match Committee
