Dress Code - General Overview

Standard of dress and general appearance will, at all times, determine the privilege of all Members and visitors to use the facilities of the Club.

Fashions change from time to time, but the principle is that clothes must be neat, clean and commensurate with that expected of a semi-private golf club. The General Manager maintains the flexibility to alter these rules for special occasions.

The Committee will determine what is suitable attire and Committee Members, together with the General Manager, Club Professional and designated staff, will require compliance by a Member or visitor where appropriate.

Bar, Lounge Area, Dining Room and Terrace

Neat casual wear is required. Caps and hats are not to be worn inside. Smart casual wear is required for evening dining unless specified otherwise.

Dress on the Course

Men – Golf attire is expected to consist of tailored slacks or tailored walk shorts. Shirts must have a collar and be tucked in. Garments with any advertising slogans (except for discreet brand name and Club logos) are not permitted. The wearing of short socks is permitted provided they are white or white with a discreet logo.

Women – Tailored slacks, skirts, tailored-length pants or long shorts are required. Shirts must have a collar, abbreviated tops, leisure suits, track suits and jeans are not allowed.

Children – Children’s attire should at all times be neat and appropriate to their usage of the Club’s facilities.

Golf Shoes – Specifically designed golf shoes must be worn.

Bunkers

Before leaving a bunker, a player should carefully fill up and smooth over all holes and footprints made by the player, and then leave the rake with the handle pointing toward the tee of the hole being played.

1) Always enter the bunker at the lowest point.
2) Pull rake toward you as you exit the bunker.
3) If required rake other affected areas.
4) Do not pile sand at the edge of the bunker. Push back excess sand.
5) Always leave rake in the flat of the bunker with the handle pointing toward the tee of the hole being played.

Repairing Ball-Marks

1) Always start at the back of the mark and pull forward with the repairer.
2) Use repairer around all sides and slowly ease turf toward the centre of the mark.
3) Do not lift the soil upwards.
4) Lightly tap down with putter.

Repairing Divots

1) Remove any loose turf from the affected area.
2) Knock in all sides of the edge of the divot with your club or your shoe.
3) Sand area. (Do not over fill divot)

Damage to green

Players should ensure that, when putting down bags, or the flagstick, no damage is done to the putting green, and that neither they nor their caddies damage the hole by standing close to it in handling the flagstick or in removing the ball from the hole. The flagstick should be properly replaced in the hole before the players leave the putting green.

1) Don’t drop the flagstick on the putting surface as it will cause damage.
2) Always lower the flagstick by club, or by hand.
3) Avoid damage to surrounds by placing the stick in the centre of the cup.

Motorised Golf Cart

Players using motorised golf carts must abide by the rules set down covering their use as follows:

  • There must not be more than two persons to each motorised cart.
  • Motorised carts must not be driven over tees and must not be driven within Fifteen (15) metres of any green or inside YELLOW lines marked on fairways indicating no carts.
  • Motorised carts must not be driven between bunkers and greens or on shoulders of greens.
  • IE: No short cuts!
  • When paths are provided near tees and greens, motorised carts must use them.
  • Players using motorised carts must maintain their normal place in the field and have no special priority.
  • All signs on the course relating to motorised cart use must be observed at all times.
  • Only two sets of clubs are permitted for each motorised cart.
  • Motorised carts are to be parked away from greens. Please obey parking notices.
  • THESE RULES WILL BE STRICTLY MONITORED AND ALL CART DRIVERS WHO DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE RULES WILL BE LIABLE TO HAVE PERMISSION TO USE CARTS REVOKED OR MEMBERSHIP SUSPENDED.

Green Staff

Greens staff have rights of way at all times!
In a situation where grounds staff are working on a hole to be played, players must wait to be acknowledged and waived through by the greens staff.

  • Wide open fairways immaculately presented which the ball sits up on like a cushion. Not a lot of trees which is forgiving, but some interesting hazards throughout the course. Overall the course felt extremely long, but there's good bounce and roll. The greens are like slate which takes some getting used to, but the ball runs true. The bunkers are like compacted builder's rubble which there's probably a trick to getting out of but I didn't figure it out, so best to steer clear of them where possible. Club house is large and very nice.
