INTRODUCTION

Firstly, just want to apologise for not producing a newsletter since August 2020. With the influx of golfers wanting to get out there and with golf being back from COVID-19 lockdowns, this newsletter was not of upmost priority. Since then though, we have produced a number of adhoc communications as needed. Regardless, going forward, this monthly newsletter is back!

BOARD UPDATE

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2020 took place on Thursday 11th February 2021 (delay due to COVID-19 restrictions). At this event, we had a reasonable turn out where a number of topics were discussed. The outcomes of the AGM were:-
✔️ Amendments to the Constitution relating to membership categories were endorsed.
✔️ Information shared re: potential development opportunity. Whilst no item was raised for endorsement, the discovery to-date was well received. More information prior to any execution of development will be endorsed by members in future months.
✔️ Acknowledgement of resignation from previous Board Member; Stephen Decker (Club Captain) endorsed.
✔️Appointment of new Board Member; Pratik Dhody (Club Captain) endorsed.

✔️ Mens & Juniors Club Pennant (on-going until May)
✔️ Saturday 13/03/2021 - 4BBB Stabledord (Open Day). This event will include Presentations for all 2020 Board Events at the end of the two shotgun fields. This will replace Presentation night for 2020 season.
✔️ Thursday 18/03/2021 - Final Midweek Trophy
✔️ Monday 22/03/2021 - Entries to 2021 Whitris Shield (Match Play) open.
✔️ 27/03/2021 - 2021 Mt Derrimut Premier League commences. All entry forms and entry fees must be submitted by this date as there is a considerable amount of work required to be completed before the first round can commence on Saturday 27 March. ✔️ Sunday 28/03/2021 - Mt Derrimut Golf & Community hosts Mens Division 6 teams.

✔️ Tips n Sips event held by club on Friday 26/02/2021 was a huge success! Please look out for more events in the coming months.

General Update

✔️ 04/03/2021 - Drop Zone markers have been placed on Hole 7 and Hole 12. If you land in the GUR bunker, please drop your ball to the NEAREST drop zone and play your ball from this location without penalty.
✔️ Saturday 06/03/2021 - Nearest to the Pin (NTP) markers are back! (see image below). Please use the hand sanitiser as you see fit.
✔️ Looking for volunteers to help Pratik kick start again a Match Committee. If you're interested, please email captain@mtderrimut.com.au.

COURSE UPDATE

✔️ Excited to announce that we've recently purchased a 2nd hand excavator which will really help us greatly in doing some projects ourselves around the course!
✔️ Recent purchase of new spray tank. This machine (Toro Multi Pro 580) is used for spraying all surfaces on the course.
✔️ Monday 19/04/2021 & Tuesday 20/04/2021 - Autumn greens coring will take place on these dates with only 9 holes open each day.
